Breyer Horses for Horse Lovers

Every parent wants to be there for their child as they grow up. They try to be there for playtime and help with their child’s imagination as much as possible. But what happens when your child grows to that age when pretending you are the horse becomes obsolete to wanting real horse toys? Children become more aware of details as they grow. A little boy or girl will notice that their Technicolor stuffed horse doesn’t look like the horses they’ve seen at the state fair or on television. So children want more detailed toys to match the world they are beginning to realize.

Which is why Breyer Horses make such great gifts. Aside from the fact that the polished and handcrafted horse figurines are not too heavy or pointy so they cannot cause damage, they are also very detailed. The detail allows children to see how horses look at a close up level. Instead of looking at rocking horses or stuffed animals for the anatomy of a horse, children get scaled, lifelike toys from Breyer. Seeing a toy they trust more as realistic, a child can connect to the toy more.
It may seem daunting at times to try and find a toy that your son or daughter may want. It seems like children’s likes and dislikes can change daily. But never forget the power of simplicity. Breyr toys are great because they show lifelike versions of a child’s favorite horse breeds, but the toys also encourage imagination still because they do not come with convoluted play areas for the figurines. This means that the child is more inclined to expand the areas in which to play with the toy, both inside and outside. All it relies on is the child’s imagination. Locating the toys might be difficult if you have a certain breed in mind. But Retired Breyer Horses are easily located online or at garage sales, as long as you take the time to look.

So the next time you are looking for a toy, remember the brand name Breyer.

Kids Toys Affect Adult Psychology

There are not many people who didn’t have a favorite toy when they were growing up. It’ll be the one you took with you everywhere you went and had a hissy fit about whenever you couldn’t find it. Maybe without even knowing it, you probably had a type of toy that you played with most, be it balls or building block or perhaps it was toy cooking apparatus. These choices may have affected you more than you realise, as new research from the London Psychology Institute suggests we are strongly influenced in later life by our childhood toys. Lets take a better look at the main 3 findings from the study.

1. Those children who were encouraged to play with toys didn’t become more intelligent, but were more analytical in their approach to problems in later life. The research showed that educational toys promoted patience and taught people to break down a problem into its simplest parts in order to overcome tasks

2. People who often played with dolls or toys that toys that had human qualities, developed better communication and interaction skills in later life. Children increase their interaction level with toys the more they appear to be human research has shown, which means they are more likely to talk and share their emotions with dolls than most other toys.

3. Probably the most interesting finding from the research was that children who always had access to toys wherever they were, not only had more confidence in later life but had better earnings. This means if children played with learning toys, took toys out and about with them and had access to toys at friends houses etc, they became more successful in later life.

Whilst this research is very interesting, it is worth bearing in mind that it is not always easy to tell where the cause and effect lies. For example, did the boy become more analytical by playing with his puzzle, or did he choose the puzzle because he was more analytical by nature? The answer is probably a combination of the two, but the report is still very interesting.
