A Gift To Consider For Your Kids

Since there is a myriad of fantastic holiday gifts out there for kids it can be rather challenging to find the right one for your own child. One gift that we reviewed this year was the Kid Trax Red Fire Engine Electric Ride-on. At first we were somewhat nervous about this child’s toy since it is actually a movable fire engine and is a ride-on toy. In addition, the recommended age for this toy is 2 to 5 years. At this point, we did not thank that to many parents would allow their children in this age bracket to play with a moving ride on vehicle. That is what caused to really discern whether or not this would be an appropriate gift this year for our child.

A Movable Fire Engine

This red fire engine has a two speed transmission and is a ride on vehicle toy. This movable toy vehicle also has a working spray hose, battery charger, megaphone and other removable rescue items. Although we were worried about allowing our child to drive around in this toy, we were very excited to see that it actually provides a lot of educational value. Children can learn and see what real firemen use to save others in life threatening situations such as fires.

How Fast Does it Go?

Although, we were not to crazy about the idea of our young child riding around in a moving fire engine, the Kid Trax Red Fire Engine that is, only goes around five miles per hour. This is not really that fast at all. Even a very sheltering or protective parent would not consider this speed to excessive. To be honest, a child pushing himself on a moving object with his or her legs would be about the same speed.

Is This Toy Fun?

After researching into the Kid Trax we began to feel that it was safe for our child to play with since it does not move at unsafe speeds. We were further surprised by its other great features like its flashing emergency lights, dashboard lights, and operational fire hose. With all of these great features how can a child not have fun playing with it?

All in all, we found that the Kid Trax Fire Engine would indeed make a good gift for a child this year. The toy is safe for kids two and up, as it really doesn’t go that fast, and it actually provides items that will help children learn what firefighting is all about. Who knows, maybe by playing with the Kid Trax, we might develop some future firemen. One thing’s for sure, we wish we had a toy like this when we were younger. Working lights, a megaphone and a battery that lasts up to 10 hours? Kids everywhere will probably find this toy enjoyable to many others, especially because of the ride-on toys factor, which is always a plus.
