Scrapbooking: How to make a Christmas Card

Now that the year is about to end its time to gather your important photos and arrange them in your scrapbooking album

Moments of happiness often come and go in our lives. What is sad is the fact that very many of those special moments are soon forgotten. And when you realize that those blessings are meant to be remembered and to serve as inspiration for us in the future, you can imagine how many graces we have lost by not scrapbooking them. Before you forget to enshrine the outstanding moments that this year had for you, you should start your year-end scrapbooking project now. Get a good and thick scrapbooking album for that. Then collect all your most memorable photos, paper clippings and what-nots for the year and create a nice and appealing arrangement for them in your scrapbook. Did you just win the lottery last week? Were you just able to successfully start your pastries business a month ago? Did your parents celebrate their silver wedding anniversary last month? Whatever is important and dear to you should be included in your year-end scrapbooking project. Such things are not merely given for momentary gratification. All the good things that happen in our lives are meant to leave their lessons in our minds and hearts. The best way to remember them is by enshrining them in a scrapbook. And the best time to assemble those happy memories is towards the end of the old year. Gather all your memorable photos and newspaper clippings and group them according to their themes in a year’s end scrapbook. If you have most of your photographs in a photo album, take them from there and find them a nice page in your thick scrapbooking album. Did your eldest child just got married last month? Are you vacationing in Europe or the Caribbean now? Were your friends and dear ones with you on Christmas Eve? If so, then you must find space in that scrap book to hold all those happy memories.

Instead of arranging your photographs in neat but lifeless rows in your photo album, you should think about retelling what those photographs were meant to commemorate in your scrapbook. You can include important messages that you received in relation to a happy event. Perhaps a copy of an email greeting card from your eldest son who is now a successful business man in another country, perhaps a few locks of hair from your first baby girl whom you just gave birth to four months ago. On top of being able to include whatever bits of information can clarify the event portrayed in your scrapbooking pictures, you can enhance the pages of the album with scrapbooking stickers. If the theme of the page is your 18th birthday party, you might want to snip off an inconspicuous portion of your debut dress and attach it to the scrap book along with the pictures that were taken on that event.

There will be important events that will deserve special formatting in your scrapbook. To emphasize the importance of scrapbook page, you could frame it with in metallic borders. Instead of writing notes with your pen, you could use scrapbook letters to give the pages a really special look. Anyone who browses through your scrapbook will know that the photos in those are important to you.  You can even tell your favorite bed time story in letter stickers and inspire the children to read them. You can even start a scrapbooking project telling old fairy tales that you used to love so that your children or nephews can read them. Scrapbooking is a hobby for which you can never run out of ideas. Why would you when you have got all those wonderful stickers on the internet?
