Clothing and towels are some of the easiest and most fun items to embroider.  For example, for a baby shower gift, monograming the name of the new baby onto a towel, blanket, or bib makes a perfect gift. You can download very cute baby designs from the Internet that are free or for a reasonable price.

For a wedding gift, you can monogram the bride’s new initials on special sheets and towels for an expensive designer look. Use the bride’s color scheme for a decorator coordinated look. You could embroider place mats in a color to match separate napkins that ties them together in a complete set.

Children love to get gifts with their names on them. Fun items to personalize and give to a child include: backpacks, lunch bags, sleeping bags, clothing or a special beach towel just for them. You can embroider their initials, their name and a small  motif of one of their interests as well. One of my friends even stitched the names of each and every one of her grandson’s classmates on head scarves for their pirate day at school. That was such a big hit with his friends.
